Four Bulldogs earn all-conference honors
Four MFL MarMac boys basketball players have earned Upper Iowa all-conference honors. Juniors Cedrick Drahn and Tyler Kurth were named to the first team, while senior Sam Koeller and junior Caden Stuckman received honorable mention status.
Kurth was a strong inside presence for the Bulldogs, finishing the season with a remarkable eight double-doubles. He averaged a team-high 15.6 points per game and had a 59.9 field goal percentage. His 9.5 rebounds per game and 13 blocks were also tops on the team. He was second in steals, with 26.
The dynamic Drahn was also one of MFL MarMac’s top scorers, with 12.8 points per game and a 43.1 field goal percentage. He made a team-high 41 threes and was first among the Bulldogs with 122 assists and 36 steals. His 5.3 rebounds per game put him second on the squad.
Koeller averaged 6.2 points for the Bulldogs and shot 46.2 percent from the field. His 4.3 rebounds per game put him among team leaders. He also finished the season with 23 assists, 11 steals and 10 blocks.
One of MFL MarMac’s biggest weapons off the bench, Stuckman averaged 7.2 points per game and made 39 threes, thanks to a team-high 37.9 shooting percentage from behind the arc. In addition, his stat line included 59 assists and 16 steals. He brought down 3.3 rebounds per game.
