Minutes for 

Regular Meeting

August 16, 2021

The Prairie du Chien Board of Education met on August 16, 2021 at Prairie du Chien High School PAAC. Lonnie Achenbach called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Board members present:  Lonnie Achenbach, Nick Gilberts, Lynn O’Kane, Tom Peterson, Michael Higgins, Jr., Dustin Brewer, and Cassie Hubanks attended virtually till 7:12 p.m., then in person.

Motion by Gilberts and seconded by Higgins, Jr. to accept the Agenda. Passed unanimously.

Motion by Higgins, Jr. and seconded by Brewer to approve the Gaga Ball Pit at Bluff View School and the funding of it by the Girls Scout Troop 4338. Passed unanimously.

Motion by Hubanks and seconded by Gilberts to approve Consent Agenda Items. Passed unanimously. 

Motion by Higgins, Jr. and seconded by O’Kane to approve the eight Alternative Open Enrollment Applications. Passed unanimously.

Motion by Gilberts and seconded by Higgins, Jr. to go into Closed Session at 7:02 p.m. to discuss Southwest Bus and Personnel. Passed unanimously. 

Motion by Higgins, Jr. and seconded by Gilberts to return to Open Session at 7:47 p.m. Passed unanimously.

Motion by Higgins, Jr. and seconded by Peterson to pay Tammy Clauer $15.00 an hour for the Life Skills House One-to-One Teacher’s Aide Position. Passed unanimously.

Motion by Peterson and seconded by Gilberts to adjourn meeting at 7:48 p.m. Passed unanimously. Meeting Adjourned.
