Coming off a tough 28-24 home loss to Iowa-Grant, the Seneca-Wauzeka-Steuben Bluegolds entered their week five game with the Riverdale Chieftains in need of a win to stay in the playoff hunt. The Bluegolds scored first and never looked back on their way to a 28-7 victory.

Cooper Lomas got the S-W-S offense going in the first quarter with a 43 yard touchdown pass to Jackson Konichek. Lomas then made the first of his four successful PAT kicks on the night to make the score 7-0 with seconds remaining in the first quarter.

Lomas was just getting started, scoring on a 2-yard rushing touchdown and converting his second PAT kick early in the second quarter to extend the Bluegolds lead to 14-0.

Owen Oppriecht added a 3 yard rushing touchdown later in the quarter, pushing the score to 21-0 heading into halftime.

Carson Sime would add to the Bluegolds scoring total with a 4-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter. Lomas converted his fourth PAT of the game to make the score 28-0. Riverdale would add a touchdown in the fourth quarter to account for the final score of 28-7.

The S-W-S rushing attack was led by Sime (18 rushing attempts for 127 yards and 1 touchdown) and Lomas (6 rushing attempts for 52 yards and 1 touchdown). Lomas was also 6-of-9 passing for 94 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Konichek led the Bluegolds with 2 catches for 69 yards and 1 touchdown.
