Hornet girls seventh, boys eighth at PdC Invite

The Wauzeka-Steuben Cross Country teams ran at the Prairie du Chien Invitational last Thursday afternoon at the Prairie du Chien Country Club. The Hornet girls placed seventh with 147 points. Leading the way for the Hornets was junior Isabella Bunders in 13th place in a time of 23:32. She was followed by Alayna Martin in 30th place (26:21), Ellah Jones in 32nd place (26:25), Mallory McCullick in 34th place (27:22), Leah Peralta in 38th place (28:27) and Emma Udelhoven in 39th place (28:31).
Wauzeka-Steuben finished the boys race in eighth place with 176 points. Sophomore Nolan Reed-Mullikin placed sixth in 18:20 to lead the team. He was followed by Brett Wagner in 13th place (19:00), Cody Wagner in 41st place (20:14), Parker McCullick in 53rd place (21:42), Andrew Mezera in 63rd place (22:35) and Stetson Zeeh in 73rd place (41:44).
The Hornets travel to Kickapoo High School in Viola tomorrow night for the Kickapoo/La Farge Invitational.
