The Prairie du Chien/River Ridge/Seneca Boys Soccer team hosted the Richland Center Hornets last Tuesday, September 24, and fell to the Hornets 3-2 in a heartbreaker. The Hawks got on the scoreboard first with a goal by freshman Brody Koresh. The visiting Hornets wouldn’t stay down for long as they would quickly answer two goals in roughly two minutes to take a 2-1 lead. Senior Jackson Perkins would tie the match up with the Hawks second goal late in the first half.

Neither team could find the net until the midway point of the second half, when Richland Center found the back of the net for the third time in the match and it would stand up as the game winning goal as the Hornets would hang on to defeat the Hawks 3-2.

The Hawks fell to 1-6-1 overall and 0-4 in the SWC with the loss.

Following last night’s conference match at Dodgeville/Mineral Point, the Hawks will play at Platteville/Lancaster next Monday.
