River Ridge runners at Kickapoo/La Farge meet

The River Ridge boys and girls cross country teams competed at the Kickapoo/La Farge Invite last Thursday, where both squads finished fourth, the boys with a team score of 110 and the girls with a 98.
The host team from Kickapoo/La Farge finished first among nine boys teams, while junior Landen Turgasen took top individual honors with a time of 17:53.9.
Leading the River Ridge boys was Luke Patterson, who finished third of 84 total competitors with a time of 18:19.8. He was followed by teammates Mason Pecinovsky in 16th (19:43.4), Colton Moris in 23rd (20:29.4), Wyatt Bausch in 34th (21:15.4) and Luke Breuer in 53rd (22:53.2).
On the girls side, Westby took home the team title with a score of 19, while Katie Field, a sophomore from Royall/Wonewoc won individual honors with her time of 19:54.6.
River Ridge sophomore Leah Patterson finished third of 53 runners with a time of 21:28.7, and was followed by teammates Kristina Sletten in 28th (25:49.1), Yoselin Bautista in 31st (26:39.5), McKenzie Taylor in 32nd (26:55.0) and Chloe west in 41st (27:53.9).
Following this past Tuesday night’s home met at Wisconsin Badger Camp, the Timberwolf runners will next compete at the Riverdale Invite on Saturday, with the varsity and J.V. girls scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. followed by the boys at 9:40.
