Hornets stop Weston but fall at Ithaca in conference finale

The Wauzeka-Steuben Hornets Volleyball team traveled to Weston High School last Tuesday night for a match with the Weston Silver Eagles and came back with a win in four sets (25-20, 26-24, 19-25 and 25-19).
The Hornets traveled to Ithaca two nights later to conclude the regular season and looked to also play spoiler against the conference leading Bulldogs. The hosts took care of business however, as the Bulldogs swept the Hornets in three sets (25-18, 25-14, 25-22).
Wauzeka-Steuben began the postseason last night by hosting ninth seeded Weston with the winner traveling to top seeded Highland tomorrow night.
