A tough start to the 2024-25 season thanks to injuries and a tough schedule continued last week for the Prairie du Chien boys basketball team as they lost a pair of non-conference games to two teams that are currently a combined 12-0 on the season.

First up for the Hawks was a game last Tuesday, Dec. 17 at La Crosse Aquinas, currently ranked second in D4 (and 2024 D4 State Semifinalist). The Bluegolds defeated Prairie du Chien 77-10 as the Bluegolds moved to 5-0.

Prairie du Chien ended the week by traveling to Onalaska Luther last Friday night and were defeated 72-45. Cayden Sutter led the Hawks in scoring with 13 points. Brady Lenzendorf added 12 points while Ashton Landt and Brock Radloff added five points each. Also adding to the Hawks scoring total was Steve Duha (four points), Tyler Steiber (three points), Sam Kramer (two points) and Brock Folsom (one point).

Next up for the Hawks is the Lewiston Auto Holiday Classic at Winona State University with a pair of games. First up is a game against Chatfield, Minn on Thursday afternoon at 2:45 pm and Plainview-Elgin-Millville, Minn at 9:45 am on Friday.
