The Prairie du Chien/Fennimore gymnastics team kicked off their 2024-25 schedule this past Saturday by hosting their yearly invitational with varsity and junior varsity competition. The Hawks welcomed six other teams to the PdC competition gym - Dodgeville/Highland/Iowa-Grant/Mineral Point, Onalaska/Luther, Platteville/Belmont/Lancaster, River Valley/Barneveld, Southwestern/Benton/Cuba City/Darlington and West Salem/La Crosse Aquinas/Bangor.
The Hawks placed sixth as a team with a score of 107.975. Senior Taia Dressler led the Hawks in the all-around with a total score of 31.150. Dressler had scores of 7.800 on the vault, 7.225 on the uneven bars, 7.375 on the balance beam and 8.750 on the floor (the twelfth best score in the event during the meet).
Also competing in the varsity invitational were Kira Gratz (all-around score of 25.600), Jasmine Olmstead (all-around score of 20.550), Paisley Dressler (all-around score of 20.300), Julianne Washa (all-around score of 17.025), Autumn Ziegler (beam score of 4.850) and Laura Sturmer (all-around score of 3.550).  Senior Constanza Reyes competed in the junior varsity invitational on the balance beam and earned a score of 4.000.
The program will resume their competition schedule at the Mount Horeb Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 4 at 9 am.
