Market Night to be featured at River of Music this Friday

The popular River of Music concert series in Guttenberg's Ingleside Park will feature Market Night on Friday, Aug. 8. This is the second Market Night of the summer — the first one was held in June and organizers were pleased with the response.

Market Night will give local businesses the opportunity to showcase their products and services at booths near the music venue. Participating businesses will feature various offerings, such as give-aways, free samples, discounts, career opportunities and items for sale. "Come see what Guttenberg's local businesses have to offer," invite organizers.

Market Night will open at 5:30 p.m., with live music by the Jimmy Welty Band set to begin at 6 p.m. An added attraction will be free line dancing lessons from 5-6 p.m.

There will be two food trucks on site: Hibachi Time and Myson's Tacos and Burritos. The evening's sponsor is Brown's Sales and Leasing of Guttenberg.

Participating Market Night businesses will include Esser's Shoe and Clothing, Kuempel Hardware, Kim's Little Bake Shop, thINK, Pattison Company, LLC, Blooming Branches, Guttenberg Fitness, Unlimited Services, Inc., Henny Penny's, Meuser Lumber Co. and the Guttenberg Public Library.

The free River of Music concerts are held every Friday evening beginning at 6 p.m. through Aug. 15. The concerts and Market Night are coordinated by the local Umbrella Arts organization.
