Roger D. Guyer

Funeral services for longtime area farmer, Roger Donald Guyer, 82, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Garnavillo.

As a young boy of five, he could reach the foot pedals on his Dad's WD if he stood up to drive, to help with the hay raking and farm chores. Not long after, his Uncle Don Kregel taught him how to plant corn in rows so perfect it was very difficult to find the spacings if you cultivated or were harvesting the crops. He loved farming and life as a grain farmer. Christmas time gatherings were always about the farming life with company that he loved so much.
