School board elects officials at meeting

During the May 13 Prairie du Chien Board of Education meeting, most of the attention focused on the girls wrestling program, which the board chose to financially support by hiring an assistant coach exclusively for the girls team. However, there were other items on the agenda that garnered less attention but were still notable.

Mock accident demonstrates the costs of distracted driving

Supervisors commend Olson, elect highway committee members

The Crawford County Board of Supervisors convened on April 16 for an eclectic agenda filled with presentations, committee reports and resolutions.

The supervisors also assembled for the first time since the April 2 elections. Sara Nelson joined the board for her first meeting as a supervisor, representing district 17 after Dave Olson did not run for re-election.
