Corps of Engineers releases stats for Mississippi River

County preparing for jail project's final borrowing


The skywalk connecting the Crawford County Jail addition and the existing law enforcement center and courthouse is now paneled. It will be used to ferry inmates to and from the courthouse and sheriff’s office. (Steve Van Kooten/Courier Press)

While there is still some work to do on the new jail addition, crews are now working on the old jail and law enforcement center that houses the county sheriff's department. Work on that building is expected to continue through the summer, with the project finishing during the late summer or early fall.
