Prairie du Chien’s defense waits for the Westby quarterback to call the next play as the scrimmage nears completion. The Hawks open up the 2024 regular season on Friday, August 23 when they hit the road to face three-time defending state champion La Crosse Aquinas at UW-La Crosse’s Veterans Memorial Stadium. Aquinas responded to last year’s week one loss at Prairie du Chien by winning their final thirteen games in a row to claim their third straight D5 state championship.
