The River Ridge boys’ and girls’ cross country teams participated in their first meet of the season last Saturday at the Darlington Invitational. While the boys did not have enough members to compete as a team, the girls finished seventh of 12 teams with a score of 169.

The Prairie du Chien Girls Golf team traveled to Lancaster last Thursday, Sept. 4 for the fourth SWC meet of the regular season and came back with a third place finish with a team score of 192. This was the third time the Hawks finished third out of four SWC meets so far this season, but the 192 was the team’s best score so far this season.

Local Volleyball Roundup

All three local Crawford County Varsity Volleyball teams were in action this past Thursday, Sept. 4. The Seneca Royals began their season by traveling to North Crawford High School and coming back with a 3-0 win. The visiting Royals won 25-14, 25-16 and 25-6 to begin their season 1-0 overall and 1-0 in the Ridge & Valley Conference.
