Warriors post many course and personal bests at Clayton Ridge meet

In the girls race, Blair Scherf set a new record for Central runners on the course with a time of 23:31.40.

Jesse Polkinghorn placed 10th with a course- and season-best time of 19:27.20.

Four top-10 times lead Warrior boys to team title

MFL MarMac girls have top team and individual at home cross country invite

For the second straight season, the MFL MarMac girls cross country team won its home invitational. The Bulldogs finished the Sept. 4 meet at Tri City Golf Course near Luana with a team score of 28, well ahead of second place North Fayette Valley. Warriors pick up wins during busy week on the volleyball court

The Central volleyball team had a full week of action, starting with a home triangular Sept. 2 against North Cedar and Clayton Ridge, followed by tournament play at Midland on Sept. 6.

MFL MarMac freshman Tyce Wikner saw considerable time on the field in the Aug. 29 season opener. Offensively, he carried the ball eight times for 29 yards, then was one of the leading tacklers, with 4.5.

Quarterback Eli Hanson led MFL MarMac with 71 rushing yards on a team-high 12 carries. He also scored a touchdown.
